Pottery, Sculpture & Canvas Floorcloths
Beautiful. Well-made. Unique. Powerful.
Art is another language. Deciphering this language and translating it into the physical realm takes insight, a sense of design and a keen ear and eye.
This is why, when you choose a piece of pottery or sculpture for yourself, or as a housewarming or commemorative gift for someone else, it represents something about your life or theirs that you wish to share and embrace with others.
Connecting people is one of the foundations of my work, and art is the language I use to create connections. The materials I use, clay and canvas, are a part of this conversation. Each is highly versatile and can be transformed into a variety of items, including, but not limited to, handmade ceramic lamps, bird feeders, tableware, bowls, sculpted face planters, busts, canvas floorcloths, and much more.
Practicality is also part of the conversation: Can these items be used in daily life? Are they food safe? Can they be washed in a dishwasher? The answer is “Yes” for tableware products because I understand that artful usefulness is still practical usefulness. Other works, such as Raku vases and pit-fired pottery and sculptures, are principally decorative pieces but can be functional for floral arrangements by inserting a glass or plastic container to hold water.
Lastly, art is very personal. If you have something in mind you’d like to see made, let’s talk!
